   Arrive in San Jose, Costa Rica by air and transfer to the port of Los Suenos where you will settle into your comfortable stateroom aboard Pacific Explorer.

   Cruise to Curu Wildlife Refuge to view fiery-red land crabs, white-faced capuchin, howler and spider monkeys and three types of turtles: leatherback, hawksbill and olive ridley. Two miles offshore is Tortuga tropical island where you will enjoy your choice of snorkeling, swimming, sea kayaking or sunbathing amid white-sand beaches, swaying coconut palms and turquoise water illuminated by tropical fish.

   Enter Corcovado Conservation Area with its 100,000 acres and 13 habitats. Giant trees, 4 monkey species, 6 wild cat species and nearly 300 bird species combine to make the excursions alive with interest and opportunity for wildlife viewing.

   Other ports of call include Isla de Colba, Golfo Dulce, Drake Bay, Cano Island and Manuel Antonio National Park. Manta rays, puffer fish, ospreys, macaws, coral, iguanas and three-toed sloths are commonly seen by ordinary travelers on this extraordinary trip.

   Ask about the Panama Canal including the Darien jungle trip up the Sambu River to visit the small Embera village. See ibis, egrets, herons and flocks of blue-headed parrots en route. In addition, you will visit the San Blas Islands and see the beautiful Kuna Indian crafts.
